Why Money Beam exists

Financial worries affects people's lives, confidence, wellbeing, relationships, decision-making and work. Yet it is often hidden, misunderstood or left until problems become more serious for the employee and employer.

Yet it doesn't have to be that way.

Money Beam helps organisations understand the impact of employee financial wellbeing on their organisation more clearly and give their people practical, trusted support.

Through Financial Wellbeing training, coaching, diagnostics, education and consultancy, we help employers recognise financial pressures, respond appropriately and create healthier conversations around money, which is good for their employees and benefits organisations financially, strategically and reputationally.

A little about the founder

Money Beam was founded by Saleem Shafi, whose career spans financial services, debt and money advice, psychology, organisational leadership and workplace financial wellbeing.

As Deputy CEO of Money Buddies, Saleem helped grow a small local service into a nationally recognised, award-winning organisation, supporting more than 30,000 people out of problem debt and poverty. That frontline and leadership experience shapes Money Beam's practical, respectful and evidence-informed approach today.

Today, Saleem works with leaders and their teams to improve Financial Wellbeing at all levels in society. He is a charity trustee and regularly appears on national media including, BBC, GMBTV, Channel 4 and Sky to talk about financial wellbeing.

Money Beam brings that experience together with one simple aim:

To help people navigate life's money ups and downs with greater confidence, support and understanding.
